Individual Surgeon
Research on the individual surgeon is increasingly focused on augmenting surgical capabilities through AI-driven assistance and robotic systems. Current efforts leverage deep learning architectures, including neural networks and large language models, to improve real-time instrument tracking, surgical scene understanding, and the development of personalized robotic surgical apprentices. This work aims to enhance surgical precision, efficiency, and training by providing surgeons with intelligent tools that adapt to individual preferences and skill levels, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
