Intellectual Disability
Intellectual disability research focuses on understanding and addressing the diverse challenges faced by individuals with cognitive impairments, aiming to improve their quality of life and societal inclusion. Current research employs machine learning, particularly deep learning architectures like convolutional neural networks and transformers, often combined with case-based reasoning, to enhance diagnostic screening, personalize assistive technologies, and improve accessibility in various settings. These advancements hold significant promise for earlier and more accurate diagnoses, development of tailored interventions, and the creation of more inclusive environments through improved assistive technologies and accessible interfaces.
