Intracranial Aneurysm
Intracranial aneurysms (IAs) are abnormal bulges in brain blood vessels, posing a significant risk of rupture and life-threatening hemorrhage. Current research heavily emphasizes the development and application of artificial intelligence, particularly deep learning models like UNets and Transformers, for improved IA detection, segmentation, and rupture risk prediction from medical images (e.g., 3D TOF-MRI). These AI-driven approaches aim to enhance diagnostic accuracy, streamline clinical workflows, and ultimately improve patient outcomes by facilitating earlier and more precise interventions. The use of synthetic data and weakly supervised learning techniques are also actively explored to address challenges related to data scarcity and annotation costs.
