Jamdani Motif
Jamdani motifs, distinctive geometric patterns in Bangladeshi textiles, are the subject of growing interdisciplinary research. Current work focuses on computationally generating new motifs using generative adversarial networks (GANs) and other deep learning models, often coupled with image-to-image translation techniques. This research aims to both preserve cultural heritage and explore the application of machine learning to pattern generation and design. The development of datasets and algorithms for motif identification and analysis has implications for various fields, including cultural preservation, textile design, and the broader study of pattern recognition in visual data.
