Kinesthetic Teaching

Kinesthetic teaching (KT) involves directly guiding a robot through a task, allowing users to program robots intuitively without specialized coding skills. Current research focuses on improving KT's efficiency and usability, exploring methods like augmented reality overlays, virtual markers, and even sketching-based interfaces to reduce workload and improve accuracy compared to purely physical manipulation. These advancements aim to make robot programming more accessible to non-experts, impacting fields like manufacturing and collaborative robotics by streamlining task programming and improving human-robot interaction.
