Knee Magnetic Resonance
Knee magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) research focuses on improving automated analysis of knee scans to aid in osteoarthritis diagnosis and treatment planning. Current efforts utilize deep learning models, including transformers and U-Nets, to achieve accurate and efficient segmentation of bone and cartilage structures, detection of bone marrow lesions, and prediction of total knee replacement needs. These advancements aim to streamline clinical workflows, improve diagnostic accuracy, and enable quantitative assessment of disease progression, ultimately leading to better patient care.
