Knowledge Based Question
Knowledge-based question answering (KBQA) focuses on developing systems that can accurately answer questions requiring access to and reasoning over external knowledge bases, often in conjunction with large language models (LLMs). Current research emphasizes improving the efficiency and accuracy of KBQA by disentangling knowledge acquisition from LLMs, enhancing the interpretability of LLM reasoning processes, and developing cost-effective strategies that minimize reliance on expensive LLMs. These advancements are significant for improving the reliability and accessibility of question-answering systems across various domains, from open-domain question answering to specialized applications like medical diagnosis and financial analysis.
