Knowledge Recall Lack Interpretability
Knowledge recall in large language models (LLMs) and other deep learning systems, while often highly accurate, currently lacks interpretability, hindering our understanding of how these models retrieve and process information. Research focuses on improving recall accuracy, particularly for complex data like long sentences and images, using techniques like model collaboration, memory frameworks, and attention mechanism analysis to uncover the internal processes involved. Understanding these internal mechanisms is crucial for enhancing model performance, building more reliable systems, and potentially leading to advancements in fields like clinical text analysis and visual place recognition.
