Kurdish Music

Research on Kurdish music is rapidly expanding, focusing on leveraging computational methods to address the language's underrepresentation in digital resources. Current efforts concentrate on developing accurate text-to-speech systems using transformer networks and variational autoencoders, improving optical character recognition for historical documents via deep learning techniques, and creating parallel corpora for Kurdish Sign Language translation using statistical machine translation. These advancements are crucial for preserving and promoting Kurdish linguistic and cultural heritage, while also contributing to broader research on low-resource languages and the application of AI in music genre classification.
