Lane Segment Perception
Lane segment perception focuses on accurately identifying and representing road lanes for autonomous driving, aiming to improve vehicle navigation and safety. Current research emphasizes using transformer-based models, often incorporating multi-camera data and novel representations like anchor chains or lane segments, to overcome challenges posed by varying lighting, occlusions, and the need to understand lane topology. This work is crucial for advancing autonomous driving systems by providing robust and reliable perception of the driving environment, enabling more accurate and safe navigation.
