Language Pattern
Language pattern research investigates how linguistic structures and word choices reflect and shape human communication, cognition, and social interactions. Current research utilizes large language models (LLMs) like GPT-4 and BERT, along with techniques such as Latent Dirichlet Allocation and n-gram analysis, to identify and analyze patterns in diverse contexts, including social media discourse, literary texts, and even animal vocalizations. These analyses reveal insights into phenomena such as political polarization, gender bias, and the cognitive processes underlying human memory, with implications for improving fairness in AI, enhancing literary analysis, and advancing our understanding of human language itself.
