Latent Consistency Model
Latent Consistency Models (LCMs) are a class of generative models designed to accelerate the inference process of latent diffusion models, significantly reducing computational cost while maintaining high-quality output. Current research focuses on adapting LCMs to various modalities, including image, audio, and 3D object generation, often incorporating techniques like consistency distillation and ODE solvers to improve efficiency and controllability. This work is impactful because it addresses the significant computational bottleneck of diffusion models, making them more practical for real-time applications and expanding their accessibility to researchers and developers with limited resources.
