Leaf Image
Leaf image analysis is a rapidly developing field focused on extracting meaningful information from images of leaves for various agricultural applications, primarily disease detection and phenotyping. Current research heavily utilizes deep learning, employing convolutional neural networks (CNNs) like AlexNet, ResNet, and VGG, as well as vision transformers, to analyze leaf features for tasks such as disease classification, leaf angle estimation, and root segmentation. These advancements enable automated, high-throughput analysis of plant health and morphology, offering significant potential for improving crop yields, optimizing resource management, and accelerating plant breeding efforts.
