License Plate
License plate recognition (LPR) aims to automatically identify and read vehicle license plates from images or videos, primarily for applications in traffic management, security, and parking systems. Current research focuses on improving LPR accuracy under challenging conditions (low resolution, blur, varying lighting) using deep learning models like YOLO, CNNs, and transformers, often incorporating techniques such as super-resolution and federated learning to enhance performance and address data privacy concerns. The development of large, diverse datasets and robust algorithms for LPR is crucial for advancing intelligent transportation systems and improving public safety.
