Lidar Based 3D Object Detector
LiDAR-based 3D object detection aims to accurately identify and locate objects in three-dimensional space using LiDAR point cloud data, crucial for applications like autonomous driving and robotics. Current research focuses on improving accuracy and efficiency through advancements in model architectures, including transformer-based networks and efficient pillar-based methods, as well as addressing challenges like class imbalance and robustness to adverse weather conditions and adversarial attacks. These improvements are vital for enhancing the reliability and safety of autonomous systems, driving progress in both computer vision and robotics.
