Light Field Camera

Light field cameras capture both spatial and angular information about light, enabling advanced applications like 3D reconstruction and depth estimation beyond the capabilities of traditional cameras. Current research focuses on improving depth estimation accuracy through novel algorithms that leverage 4D geometric cues and address challenges like occlusion and blur, as well as developing efficient calibration techniques and model architectures for tasks such as semantic segmentation and super-resolution. These advancements are driving progress in autonomous driving, 3D imaging, and computational photography, offering improved accuracy and efficiency in various applications.
