Like Motion

Research on life-like motion focuses on generating and controlling realistic movement in robots and virtual agents, mirroring the fluidity and physical plausibility of human and animal motion. Current efforts leverage data-driven approaches, including diffusion models and machine learning techniques trained on large motion capture datasets, often incorporating physics-based constraints to ensure realistic interactions with environments. This work is crucial for advancing robotics, particularly in dexterous manipulation and human-robot interaction, as well as for creating more believable and engaging virtual characters in animation and gaming. The development of bio-inspired control systems, informed by biological observations, further enhances the realism and efficiency of generated movements.
