Line of Sight
Line-of-sight (LoS) research focuses on understanding and leveraging the presence or absence of direct paths between points, crucial for various applications. Current research emphasizes improving LoS detection and prediction using diverse methods, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs), vision transformers (ViTs), and support vector machines (SVMs), often integrated with other sensor data for enhanced accuracy and robustness. This work has significant implications for autonomous navigation, wireless communication (especially in 6G vehicular networks and UAV deployments), and robotic localization and mapping, enabling more reliable and efficient systems in challenging environments.
