LLM Persona

Research on Large Language Model (LLM) personas investigates how to imbue LLMs with consistent and believable personalities, aiming to improve their interaction capabilities and understand the implications of such personalization. Current research focuses on measuring and shaping LLM personality traits using various methods, including behavioral analysis, psychometric tests, and client simulations, often employing models like GPT-3.5, GPT-4, and others. This work is significant because it addresses both the ethical concerns surrounding bias amplification in personalized LLMs and the practical need for creating more engaging and effective AI agents for applications ranging from therapy to interactive storytelling.
