Low Resolution Video
Low-resolution video research focuses on improving the quality and usability of videos with limited resolution and bitrate, primarily through super-resolution techniques and efficient compression/decompression methods. Current efforts concentrate on developing computationally efficient deep learning models, including Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Transformers, optimized for mobile and embedded systems, often leveraging reference images or frames to enhance reconstruction. These advancements are crucial for enhancing the viewing experience of streamed video, particularly on resource-constrained devices, and for improving the performance of video-based applications like action recognition and video understanding in challenging conditions.
