Low Visibility
Low visibility, encompassing conditions like fog, haze, smoke, and darkness, significantly hinders object detection and tracking, impacting numerous fields from autonomous driving to search and rescue. Current research focuses on improving perception in these challenging conditions using deep learning models, often incorporating human visual cues or fusing data from multiple sensor modalities (e.g., camera-radar, LiDAR) to enhance robustness and accuracy. These advancements are crucial for improving the safety and reliability of autonomous systems and enabling effective operation in environments where human vision is severely limited.
