Many Neuron
Research on "many neuron" systems focuses on understanding how groups of neurons collectively represent information, particularly in deep neural networks and biological neural circuits. Current investigations explore the dynamics of multi-region networks, the role of network architecture (including feedforward and recurrent connections) in hierarchical concept representation and fault tolerance, and the development of robust methods for interpreting the activity of individual neurons and their collective behavior. These studies aim to improve our understanding of neural computation, leading to more interpretable and reliable artificial intelligence systems and a deeper understanding of information processing in the brain.
