Massive MIMO

Massive MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) technology aims to significantly boost the capacity and efficiency of wireless communication systems by employing base stations with a large number of antennas. Current research heavily focuses on mitigating challenges like pilot contamination and high computational complexity through techniques such as deep learning (including autoencoders, graph neural networks, and reinforcement learning), advanced signal processing, and novel pilot assignment schemes. These advancements are crucial for realizing the full potential of massive MIMO in 5G and beyond networks, particularly for supporting the increasing demands of IoT devices and high-data-rate applications.
