Current research employs machine learning models, including deep learning networks and gradient-boosted decision trees, to identify medical claims, retrieve supporting evidence from diverse sources like PubMed and Wikipedia, and assess their veracity. This work is crucial for combating misinformation, improving the efficiency of healthcare systems by detecting fraud, and enabling more accurate prediction of patient outcomes through improved analysis of longitudinal health data.
