Medical Imaging Research
Medical imaging research focuses on developing and improving methods for analyzing medical images, primarily to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Current research emphasizes the use of deep learning, particularly convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and diffusion models, for tasks such as image segmentation, classification, and the generation of synthetic training data to address data scarcity and bias. These advancements aim to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and generalizability of medical image analysis, ultimately leading to better patient care and more effective clinical decision-making. Efforts are also underway to standardize data processing and evaluation pipelines to ensure reproducibility and facilitate fair comparisons between different methods.
