Mental State
Understanding mental states, encompassing cognitive processes, emotions, and intentions, is a central focus in cognitive neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Current research employs deep learning models, such as convolutional neural networks and recurrent neural networks, to analyze neuroimaging data (like fMRI) and language data to classify and predict mental states, often focusing on improving model interpretability and reducing the need for large datasets. This work has implications for improving mental health diagnoses, designing more effective human-computer interfaces, and advancing our understanding of social cognition and human-robot interaction. The development of robust and explainable models for mental state analysis is crucial for both scientific advancement and practical applications.
