Minority Group

Research on minority groups focuses on understanding and mitigating the underrepresentation and negative impacts experienced by these groups in various contexts, particularly within machine learning and social dynamics. Current research employs diverse methods, including computational linguistic tools for analyzing communication patterns, generative AI models for data augmentation to improve minority representation in datasets, and novel algorithms designed to address label skews and improve model fairness in federated learning settings. These efforts aim to enhance the accuracy and fairness of algorithms, improve collaborative problem-solving outcomes, and ultimately promote more equitable outcomes across society.
