Mosquito Habitat

Mosquito habitat research focuses on identifying and predicting mosquito breeding sites to control disease transmission. Current efforts utilize diverse approaches, including autonomous robotic systems for targeted habitat elimination, deep learning models trained on climate data and satellite imagery for large-scale habitat prediction and risk mapping, often employing convolutional neural networks (CNNs) like YOLOv4. These advancements aim to improve the efficiency and scalability of mosquito control strategies, ultimately reducing the global burden of mosquito-borne diseases.
