Motion Distortion

Motion distortion, the warping or degradation of motion information in images or videos, is a significant challenge across various applications, from autonomous vehicle navigation to digital human modeling and video quality assessment. Current research focuses on developing robust methods for correcting or mitigating these distortions, employing techniques such as Fourier and wavelet transforms for motion alignment, iterative registration algorithms for LIDAR point clouds, and novel video quality assessment models sensitive to frame rate variations. Addressing motion distortion is crucial for improving the accuracy and reliability of numerous systems, ranging from autonomous driving and 3D modeling to video processing and streaming technologies.
