Multi Agent Manufacturing System
Multi-agent manufacturing systems (MAMS) aim to improve efficiency and adaptability in manufacturing processes by coordinating multiple autonomous agents to manage tasks and resources. Current research emphasizes leveraging large language models (LLMs) to enhance agent communication, decision-making, and adaptability to dynamic environments, often within frameworks employing state-based potential games or novel gradient-based optimization methods for faster convergence. These advancements hold significant promise for optimizing production scheduling, inventory management, and overall equipment effectiveness in diverse manufacturing settings, particularly in addressing the challenges of high-variety, low-volume production.
