Musical Form
Musical form, the structural organization of musical pieces, is a complex area currently undergoing significant research. Current efforts focus on developing computational models, including transformer networks and variational autoencoders, to generate music with defined forms and analyze existing musical structures using network analysis and statistical methods. This research aims to improve music generation algorithms, enhance music information retrieval systems, and provide new insights into the cognitive processes underlying musical perception and composition. The ultimate goal is to create more sophisticated and expressive AI-generated music and deepen our understanding of musical structure.
