Narrative Framing
Narrative framing, the way information is presented to shape its interpretation, is a crucial area of research, particularly concerning misinformation and its detection. Current research focuses on leveraging large language models (LLMs) and deep neural networks to automatically identify narrative frames within text, analyzing how these frames influence the understanding of events and entities (e.g., heroes, villains, conflicts). This work aims to improve the detection of misinformation, enhance understanding of information operations, and assist journalists in crafting more effective and responsible narratives, ultimately contributing to more informed public discourse.
