Narrative Shift

Narrative shift research focuses on understanding how narratives evolve and change over time, particularly within large-scale datasets like social media or interactive stories. Current efforts concentrate on developing computational methods, including transformer-based models and scene-graph reasoners, to automatically detect and analyze these shifts, often incorporating techniques like change point detection and multimodal interaction. This work is significant for its potential to improve our understanding of information diffusion, societal discourse, and the creation of more engaging and dynamic interactive narratives, ultimately leading to more effective tools for analyzing complex social phenomena and generating compelling interactive media.
