Narrative Task

Narrative task research focuses on automatically generating and evaluating high-quality stories, driven by advancements in large language models. Current efforts concentrate on developing metrics to assess story coherence, character development, and overall engagement, as well as improving model capabilities in tasks like story completion, simplification, and collaborative storytelling. Instruction tuning and novel prompting strategies are being explored to enhance model performance and control over generated text, including keyword placement. This work has implications for both advancing AI capabilities in natural language generation and improving educational tools and content creation.
