Natural Conversation
Natural conversation research aims to understand and replicate the complexities of human interaction, focusing on both verbal and nonverbal cues to improve human-computer interaction and AI systems. Current research heavily utilizes large language models (LLMs) combined with multimodal data fusion techniques, often incorporating visual and audio information from sources like smart glasses, to analyze and generate more natural and engaging conversations. This work has significant implications for various fields, including mental health support, accessibility technologies, and the development of more human-like conversational agents for diverse applications.
