Current research heavily utilizes large language models (LLMs) and machine learning (ML), including deep reinforcement learning (DRL) and automated machine learning (AutoML), to achieve intent-based networking and zero-touch operation, particularly within 5G and beyond networks. This focus on AI-driven solutions is driven by the increasing complexity of modern networks and the need for scalable, self-managing infrastructure, impacting both network operations and the development of new AI algorithms and architectures for network control.
