Network Automation
Network automation aims to replace manual network management with automated systems, improving efficiency, reducing errors, and enabling faster adaptation to changing demands. Current research heavily utilizes large language models (LLMs) and machine learning (ML), including deep reinforcement learning (DRL) and automated machine learning (AutoML), to achieve intent-based networking and zero-touch operation, particularly within 5G and beyond networks. This focus on AI-driven solutions is driven by the increasing complexity of modern networks and the need for scalable, self-managing infrastructure, impacting both network operations and the development of new AI algorithms and architectures for network control.
