Neural Avatar
Neural avatars are realistic digital representations of humans, aiming to create highly accurate and controllable virtual humans for various applications. Current research focuses on developing efficient and robust methods for generating these avatars from various input modalities, such as videos and point clouds, often employing neural implicit representations like Gaussian splatting and neural radiance fields, along with transformer architectures for motion prediction. These advancements are significantly improving the fidelity, animation capabilities, and customization options of neural avatars, impacting fields ranging from virtual reality and animation to sign language research and personalized digital experiences.
