Neural Spike
Neural spikes, the fundamental units of communication in the brain, are being intensely studied for their potential in building more energy-efficient and biologically plausible artificial intelligence. Current research focuses on developing and improving spiking neural networks (SNNs), often employing novel training algorithms like backpropagation and spike-timing-dependent plasticity, and exploring various architectures including those incorporating attention mechanisms and feedback loops. This work aims to enhance SNN performance in diverse applications, from image processing and speech recognition to low-power edge computing and disease detection, ultimately bridging the gap between neuroscience and artificial intelligence.
