Novel Actuator
Research on novel actuators is driven by the need for more efficient, cost-effective, and adaptable robotic systems. Current efforts focus on developing actuators with improved compliance, miniaturization for swarm robotics, and optimized control strategies, including the use of neural network surrogate models for multi-level optimization. These advancements are impacting diverse fields, from humanoid robotics and wearable assistive devices to the design of soft robots and miniature robots for swarm applications, improving performance and expanding the capabilities of robotic systems.
