Online Health
Online health research focuses on leveraging the wealth of information in online health communities to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. Current efforts concentrate on developing sophisticated natural language processing (NLP) models, including large language models (LLMs) and deep learning architectures, to analyze patient language, identify emerging health opinions, and predict information needs. This work aims to enhance patient-doctor communication, improve the accuracy of information available online, and facilitate more effective and personalized healthcare interventions. The ultimate goal is to create more efficient and patient-centric healthcare systems through the intelligent analysis of online health data.
