Open Circuit Fault
Open-circuit faults in power electronic converters, such as those using IGBTs, pose significant reliability challenges across various applications. Current research focuses on developing robust and accurate fault diagnosis methods, primarily employing data-driven approaches like random forests and, in some cases, integrating them with knowledge-driven techniques such as Concordia transforms to improve diagnostic accuracy and robustness under varying operating conditions. These advancements aim to enable timely detection and precise location of open-circuit faults, enhancing system safety and reducing maintenance costs in critical power electronics systems.
