Open Multi Agent System

Open Multi-Agent Systems (OMAS) research focuses on designing and analyzing systems of interacting agents that dynamically join and leave, posing challenges for coordination, trust, and resource allocation. Current research emphasizes developing robust trust models (e.g., biologically-inspired approaches and deep reinforcement learning methods for adaptive trust management), efficient communication protocols for emergent language and shared understanding, and algorithms for online resource allocation in constantly changing environments (e.g., random coordinate descent). These advancements are crucial for building reliable and adaptable systems in diverse applications like smart cities and human-machine collaboration, where unpredictable agent behavior and system dynamics are inherent.
