Parameter Free

Parameter-free optimization aims to eliminate the need for manually tuning hyperparameters, such as learning rates, in machine learning algorithms. Current research focuses on developing parameter-free variants of existing optimization methods like gradient descent and Adam, as well as designing novel algorithms specifically tailored for this goal, often employing techniques like backtracking line search and adaptive step size strategies.
