Parametric Curve

Parametric curves, mathematical representations of curves defined by functions of a single parameter, are central to numerous scientific and engineering applications. Current research focuses on efficiently extracting and reconstructing these curves from various data sources, including images, point clouds, and time series, employing techniques like Fourier series, iterative closest point algorithms, and neural networks (e.g., Neural Edge Fields). These advancements improve accuracy and efficiency in diverse fields such as robotics (continuum robot modeling), computer vision (3D shape reconstruction and lane detection), and signal processing (time series forecasting), enabling more precise modeling and analysis of complex systems.
