Particle Photon

Particle photon research focuses on leveraging the properties of individual photons for advanced imaging and sensing applications. Current efforts concentrate on developing novel neural network architectures, such as neural radiance fields and variational autoencoders, to process and interpret the stochastic nature of single-photon data, enabling high-fidelity reconstructions even under challenging conditions like low light or high-speed motion. This work is significantly impacting fields like 3D scene reconstruction, medical imaging, and quantum optics by improving the speed, resolution, and robustness of imaging systems. The development of efficient algorithms for handling massive datasets of photon counts is also a key area of focus.
