Personal Mobility
Personal mobility research focuses on developing safe, efficient, and socially acceptable autonomous vehicles and assistive devices for individual transportation. Current efforts concentrate on improving navigation algorithms, such as model predictive control and mixture-of-experts models, to enable autonomous docking, obstacle avoidance in crowded environments, and optimized route planning that considers pedestrian interactions. These advancements aim to enhance the usability and safety of personal mobility systems, impacting both the design of future vehicles and the development of improved human-robot interaction models.
