Perspective Distortion
Perspective distortion, the warping of images due to camera angle and distance, significantly impacts the accuracy of computer vision tasks. Current research focuses on mitigating this distortion through novel algorithms, such as those employing Möbius transforms or log conformal maps, often integrated with deep learning architectures like Swin Transformers and GANs, to improve image synthesis, 3D reconstruction, and object detection. These advancements are crucial for enhancing the robustness and reliability of computer vision systems across diverse applications, including autonomous driving, robotics, and medical imaging. The development of synthetic datasets with realistic perspective distortions is also a key area of focus, enabling better training and evaluation of these methods.
