Persuasion Mode
Persuasion mode research investigates how different communication strategies influence beliefs and behaviors, focusing on identifying and classifying techniques used in various contexts, from online memes to counter-hate speech. Current research employs multilingual language models, such as XLM-RoBERTa, and hierarchical embedding approaches to analyze textual and visual data, aiming to improve the accuracy of persuasion technique detection. This work is crucial for understanding the spread of misinformation and hate speech online, and for developing effective strategies to counter manipulative communication.
