Photorealistic Avatar
Photorealistic avatar creation aims to generate highly realistic digital representations of humans, focusing on accurate rendering of appearance, including clothing and hair, and natural animation of facial expressions and body movements. Current research heavily utilizes neural radiance fields (NeRFs), generative adversarial networks (GANs), and diffusion models, often combined with techniques like 3D Gaussian splatting and graph neural networks to achieve high fidelity and efficient processing from various input modalities, including monocular phone captures and VR headset data. This field is significant for advancing virtual and augmented reality applications, improving telepresence experiences, and enabling new possibilities in animation, gaming, and digital human modeling.
