Photovoltaic Adoption
Photovoltaic (PV) adoption research focuses on understanding and predicting the uptake of solar energy technologies, primarily aiming to identify key drivers and barriers to wider implementation. Current research employs diverse modeling approaches, including agent-based modeling to simulate adoption rates across specific sectors like agriculture, and optimization algorithms leveraging satellite imagery to improve the efficiency of rooftop PV system design by minimizing shading losses. These studies contribute to a better understanding of the factors influencing PV adoption, informing policy decisions and improving the design and deployment of solar energy systems for increased sustainability and economic viability.
